Hayley - Advanced Senior Stylist
With nineteen years of experience in the hairdressing industry, training in Queensland, Hayley has not only honed her skills but has also collaborated and trained with some of the UK’s and New Zealand’s most talented hairstylists. Fueled by her passion, Salon Kephi was born in Tasmania with a mission to bring this wealth of expertise to our clients, offering exceptional one-on-one hair services.
Hayley will be on maternity leave starting December 2026.
Sophie - Senior Stylist
Introducing our incredibly talented Senior Stylist, Sophie! Having completed her training at Salon Kephi, she showcases skills and creativity that truly surpass her years.
Sophie is a natural people person, ‘I love making connections with my clients and having different conversations with different people and continuously learning’. We love having her positive energy in the salon!
She has quickly realised that she ‘loves to specialise in blondes’ with her favourite hair trend being ‘low maintenance blonde balayage’. We are happy to support her rise as a balayage specialist as we know how much you all love those low maintenance locks.
When she isn’t creating amazing hair, Sophie spends her time with close friends and family, ‘I love to spend time away on the east coast of Tassie, camping and being at the beach, it’s definitely my happy place’… Well who doesn't!! ‘My life goals for the future would definitely be to own or build my own house with my partner, travel and see as much of the world as I can before starting my own family’. It will be our complete pleasure at Salon Kephi to support Sophie in achieving these goals.
Liv - Senior Stylist
We’re thrilled to introduce Liv, our talented Senior Stylist who brings creativity, warmth, and a passion for hair to everything she does. With over 8 years in the industry, her love for hairdressing is driven by the opportunity to continuously learn and grow, while building meaningful connections with clients.
Liv’s favourite hair transformation? A honey blonde balayage, with warm tones and a deeper root, she says it’s "just heaven." She also has a special place in her heart for a tidy men’s mullet. When it comes to styling, Liv is a “scissor girly” at heart, excelling in shaggy, textured haircuts that create shape and body.
Beyond the salon, Liv is an adventurer. She enjoys spending weekends working in her family’s coffee van business, attending live music events, and exploring the coast with her golden retriever, Missy. She’s also passionate about traveling and hopes to explore more of Australia and the world in the future.
Ruby - Senior Stylist
Ruby’s passion for hairdressing began early, sparked by a genuine interest in the industry while completing her apprenticeship at Salon Kephi. She quickly discovered her love for the craft, launching a dedicated career path where her skills, confidence, and expertise have continuously grown.
One of Ruby’s favourite parts of salon life is the relationships she builds, both with her clients and her fellow stylists. She loves being part of our supportive team environment at Salon Kephi where ideas are shared, skills are developed, and learning never stops. With a quiet, nurturing, and easy-going nature, Ruby brings a calming presence to the salon that instantly puts people at ease.
Outside of work, Ruby enjoys spending time with her partner on his family farm, catching up with friends and family, and relaxing at home cuddled up with her beloved dog ‘Scout’ and a good book. Weekends often see her out in the tractor, embracing farm life.
Ruy’s biggest passion in hairdressing is making her clients feel truly special. As a Senior Stylist, she especially loves creating big transformations and seeing the excitement and confidence that comes from a result her clients absolutely love.
Deb - Mooie Makeup Owner
Deb’s passion for the beauty industry has been at the heart of her career for more than 30 years. As the founder of Mooie Makeup and creator of the Facci System, Deb has spent decades working hands-on with women, listening to what they want from beauty and helping them feel confident, comfortable and truly themselves.
For Deb, beauty has never been about following trends. It’s about exceptional customer service, education and creating an experience that feels personal to every client.
The Facci System was born from that philosophy — a personalised, refillable makeup system that allows each woman to create a palette filled only with the products and shades that work for her. Deb especially loves working with mature women and helping simplify makeup with beautiful, wearable products and techniques that are easy to recreate at home.
A New Chapter for Salon Kephi
Taking over Salon Kephi feels like a natural extension of everything Deb loves about the beauty industry.
Her vision for Kephi is not to change what already makes the salon so special, but to build upon it. She is incredibly proud of the talented team and wants Salon Kephi to remain a place where clients feel welcomed, valued and genuinely cared for from the moment they walk through the door.
Over time, Deb is excited to introduce more experiences alongside Kephi’s beautiful hair services, including Facci colour matching, personalised makeup palettes, makeup appointments, special-event hair and makeup, mini makeovers and education.
Most importantly, Deb wants Salon Kephi to be a place where hair, makeup and genuine old-fashioned customer service come together.
When she’s not at Kephi or working on Mooie Makeup, you’ll usually find Deb at home in the country, enjoying farm life and spending time with her family.
For Deb, this next chapter is about bringing together everything she loves — beautiful hair, personalised makeup, education, an incredible team and making every client who walks through the doors of Salon Kephi feel special.
